Koray Kaplıca

Koray Kaplıca is a Ph.D. student in Political Science and International Relations Department at Boğaziçi University, since September 2015. Previously, he had a B.A. degree in Political Science at Bilkent University and M.A. degree in International Relations at Koç University. As TUBITAK Graduate scholarship holder, he finished master thesis titled “Explaining Advocacy Agenda: Human Rights NGOs in Turkey” in 2012, which he studied advocacy agenda structure of three human rights NGOs in Turkey. His research interests lie primarily in Comparative Politics and International Relations, specifically social movements, public policy, international political economy, and international regimes. Currently, he is working as a teaching assistant in Marmara University, and project coordinator and editor in Doğruluk Payı, which is an initiative that aims to contribute developing accountability in Turkish politics by fact-checking public statements of political actors and sharing them via internet channels.
