Bünyamin Esen

Bünyamin Esen has a degree of BSc in Economics from Faculty of Economics of Istanbul University, Istanbul, Turkey. As a Jean Monnet Scholarship holder for 2012, he has finished his MSc in Social Policy (European and Comparative Social Policy) degree at Department of Social Policy of London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), London, UK, with his dissertation titled “Managing the Welfare Reform in the case of Turkey: Europeanisation without the EU Anchor – A comparative analysis of Social Security Reform of Turkey from 2006-2012”. He has been working as a Social Security Inspector for the Social Security Institution of Republic of Turkey since 2009. His special expertise area is Turkish social security law, labour law, and occupational health and safety law. He has more than 400 published articles and opinions on social security, labour law and occupational health and safety law. He regularly writes essays and articles on social security, social policy, labour law, social security policies etc. areas to some academic and peer-reviewed journals and reference sources in Turkey, i.e., Mali Çözüm, Legal İş ve Sosyal Güvenlik Hukuku, Terazi Hukuk, Güncel Mevzuat, Yaklaşım, Müşavir, Lebib Yalkın Mevzuat, Eczacı. He regularly writes a column at www.internethaber.com and at Turkish daily Daily Sabah on welfare policies of Turkey.
